Dance Team–The Blue Devil Dance Team placed 11th at the National Dance Alliance in Florida, and 4th in New Jersey in the Pom Division. The team also received the NJCDCA Sportsmanship Award; it was the only dance team in the state to receive the award, and the team was nominated by its peers.
Swimming – The team had another wonderful season, extending their lengthy winning city meet winning streak and winning the newly formatted H.C.I.A.A. Coached by Terry Matthews and alum Danielle Florio, '00, the Blue Devils enjoyed a 7-1 dual meet record.
Outdoor Track and Field -
Softball – The Blue Devils softball team 2007 record was 19:12. The team won the HCIAA Championship for the 4th time in the past 5 years, beating North Bergen in the Championship. Ten Seniors were on the team including Stefanie Philips, Anna McCarthy, Caitlin Lundberg, Jaclyn Tredo, and Annette Aligo. They've won 3 HCIAA titles in 4 years.

Overall, the softball team won 4 titles in 5 years. The team traveled to Delaware, Tennessee and Connecticut for games. Saint Dominic Academy fields competitive, award-winning teams in a variety of sports, including basketball, soccer, softball and track and field.

Senior Sarah Sisk was nominated for and selected as the NJ12 statewide scholar athlete of the week. She is one of thirty that will be selected among the state's @450 high schools this year. A TV piece was shot by a crew of three and featuring George Falkowski yesterday in Bayonne Park preceding the South Hudson championship. It will air on NJ12. Sarah's teammates were filmed in various background shots warming up.
Since the fourth place finish in Florida the team won the Jersey City meet for the fourth consecutive year and 30 th time in the past 31 years. Yesterday they won the South Hudson championship for the fourth year in a row, 27 th time in the past 28 years and 28 th time in the 31 year history of the meet. No other school has won the meet twice. In fact , the winningest boys team hasn't won 15!
The fall season is going very well with the tennis team 10-3 with Intyhe Crawford and Tania Malik the county champions at second and third singles. They lost a competitive 3-2 match in state play vs. Immaculate Heart Academy. Our tennis girls begin county play as the 2 or three seed in the county next week.
Soccer is currently 9-3 and played very well in a close loss to highly acclaimed Kearny. The team is the county's third seeded team and should advance to semi finals and hopefully beyond. They will have a state game the week of Halloween.
Volleyball is 8-7 and finishes the regular season today at Lincoln who they revisit Monday in the playoffs. SDA is the county's 11 seed. They will similarly have a state match the week of Halloween.
The defending county champion Cross Country team will run locally for the final time next Saturday in the County championship beginning at 10 am in Bayonne Park.
Track & Field-
Soccer – The team finished 2008 with a 10-6-1 record and reached the HCIAA semi finals.

Tennis - The vastly improved netters qualified for the H.C.I.A.A.Playoffs. The team, coached by Marilyn Wilson and led by senior Angela Condo, finished with a 10-5 record.
Cross Country - The team won the Jersey City title for the 26th straight year and the South Hudson Championship for the 23rd year in a row.
Indoor Track and Field –
Basketball –Under 3rd year coach, Reggie Quinn, the SDA Varsity Basketball team finished the regular season 19-6. They finished 3rd in the Hudson County Playoffs and made it to the 1st round of the Parochial Group A State Playoffs.
