The Saint Dominic Academy Women’s Choir was formed in 2001 by former alumnae and SDA Music Director Joseph Napoli. Thousands of people in the Tri-State area have heard the beautiful music of the Choir’s annual Christmas and Spring concerts as well as their Caberet Nights.
Mr. Napoli announced that the Women's Choir will host a first "Night of Stars" on Saturday, December 17th at 7:00 P.M. in Elan.
"This will ble a variation on the annual Women's Choir Cabarets", said Joe. "I have long envisioned a "homecoming concert" of some of the finest singers that SDA has produced during my 33 year career. I hope this becomes an annual event so that more of our outstanding alumnae can perform in future shows."
The Night of Stars performers are Teresa Blunda-Vega ('83), Jodi Singer ('92), Rose Flores ('98), Adrien Brizzorlara (2000), Tara Tartaglia (Kulbatski) (2000), Tracy Espiritu ('03) and Florianna Heun ('09). Each performer will sing two classical selections and two Broadway/popular selections. There will also be several duets and ensemble numbers.
"This will ble a sensational show that encompasses three decades of incredible talent", Napoli exclaimed. "I really didn't think I would be able to assemble this cast of performers, but everything fell into place. Five of the singers are local and fortunately available, but Adrien is coming from Indiana to be in the show and Tracy finishes her semester at medical school in Pennsylvania the day before."
The Women's Choir Christmas Concert will be held on the following afternoon at 4:00 P.M. "This is a great way to cap off a busy weekend", said Napoli. The Women's Choir is now in its 11th year and their concert will be highlighted by a performance of "Carols and Lullabies".

The CD is a live recording of the Choir's 2007 Christmas Concert and features one hour of outstanding holiday music, including both classical and popular songs. The CD also honors and acknowledges SDA's 130th anniversary year and concludes with our Alma Mater.
