Saint Dominic Academy Recognizes AP® Scholars

Saint Dominic Academy is proud to announce that seven members of its Class of 2018 and one current senior have earned AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on AP Exams.

According to The College Board, the Advanced Placement Program® (AP®) provides willing and academically prepared students with the opportunity to take rigorous college-level courses while still in high school, and to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both for successful performance on the AP Exams. The AP Program offers several AP Scholar Awards to recognize high school students who have demonstrated college level achievement through AP courses and exams.

One recent graduate was named an AP Scholar with Distinction for having received an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.  She took exams in Calculus, English Lit, Psychology, Government, Chemistry and History.

Three fellow Class of 2018 members have all been named AP Scholars with Honor for having received an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.  

Three recent graduates and one current senior were all named AP Scholars.  They received scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams.
