SDA Inducts New Members Into Honor Societies

On Wednesday, April 26, Saint Dominic Academy inducted twenty-five members into the Siena Chapter of the National Honor Society, four new members into La Society Honoraire de Francais (French Honor Society) and eighteen new members into Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica (Spanish Honor Society).  

The event included an Invocation and the Salute to the Flag.  Opening ceremonies were followed by NHS Induction with a review of the qualifications for membership: scholarship, service, leadership and character, presentation of pins and certificates by SDA Academic Dean, Mrs. Guen Farrales and recitation of the NHS pledge.  New inductees include: eighteen sophomores, five juniors and two seniors.

French Honor Society inductions followed NHS with a review of the qualifications of membership, the pledge and a presentation in the French language.  New members of La Societe Honoraire de Francais include one sophomore and three juniors.

The induction into the Spanish Honor Society followed with a review of the qualifications of membership, the pledge and a performance in Spanish.  New members of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica include twelve juniors and six sophomores.

The evening ended with closing remarks by Head of School, Ms. Sarah Degnan-Moje, and the Alma Mater. Refreshments followed.
