SDA Students Succeed On STEM Exam

Eleven Saint Dominic Academy rising juniors, students in the Introduction to Engineering Design class, achieved great success in an End-of-Course Assessment administered in June.

STEM IED is the fourth and final class offered in the Academy’s STEM® education program, part of Project Lead the Way. Introduction to Engineering Design focuses on making math and science relevant for students through the APPB-learning approach (activities, projects, and problem-based learning.) Other classes include Automation and Robotics, Design and Modeling and Physics with the Principles of Engineering.

Of the eleven students, eight achieved at the Proficient level earning scores between 4 and 7; three of the girls scored at the Basic Level.
