Saint Dominic Academy Announces Appointment of Alumna Claudia Pope-Bayne, Ed.D., as Associate Head of School for Institutional Strategy/Chief of Staff

Jersey City, NJ — Saint Dominic Academy announces the appointment of alumna Claudia Pope-Bayne, Ed.D., ’89, as its new Associate Head of School for Institutional Strategy/Chief of Staff. With over 20 years of leadership experience in higher education, Dr. Pope-Bayne will advance the Academy’s strategic vision and ensure key areas are aligned.

As senior advisor to the Head of School, she will align Advancement, Admissions, and Communications and Marketing, strengthening the Academy’s visibility and viability. She will also build external partnerships and foster engagement among alumnae, families, and the community in support of Advancement.
Dr. Pope-Bayne joins Saint Dominic Academy after a distinguished career in higher education at Stevens Institute of Technology and Saint Peter’s University, where she most recently served as Interim Vice President for Advancement and External Affairs. Known for her expertise in directing high-impact constituent programs and leading data-driven initiatives, she has a strong record of building and mentoring teams that significantly increase participation and engagement.

Dr. Pope-Bayne presented at the Jesuit Advancement Administrators (JAA) Conference and is a member of several honor societies, including Delta Sigma Pi, Kappa Delta Pi, and Lambda Pi Eta. Dr. Pope-Bayne earned a Doctorate of Higher Education Leadership and a Master’s in strategic communication from Saint Peter’s University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Scranton.
