COMMUNITY NEWS

Help Us Reach 2,026!
We are working toward collecting 2,026 food items for Mercy House and need your help to get there by this Friday. With nearly 300 items collected, now is the time to keep the momentum going.
Just 10 items total per person can help us reach, and even exceed our goal.
Please help us make a difference!

IN THE CLASSROOM

Art Class Spotlight
In art class, students explored Gelli printing, a simple yet expressive form of printmaking similar to monoprints. Using acrylic paint on flexible, reusable gelatin plates, students experimented with color, texture, and layering to create one-of-a-kind artworks on paper, no printing press required.
This hands-on project reflects the spirit of Catholic Schools Week by celebrating creativity, curiosity, and community. We are grateful to Joan and John Best for their generous donation of materials, which made this enriching learning experience possible.

Getting to the “Bone” of Movement
Honors Anatomy & Physiology students explored the structure and function of the human arm through a hands-on chicken wing dissection.
Because chicken anatomy closely resembles our own, this activity allowed students to identify bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and cartilage while observing how joints bend and move.
The lab brought musculoskeletal concepts to life and reinforced the relationship between structure and function in the human body.
