THE MIDDLE SCOOP

Middle Schoolers Learn the Art of Prayer Services
As part of their religion classes, our middle school students worked together to design and lead their own prayer services. Students selected scripture, prayers, and music, then took turns guiding one another in prayer.
Each group alternated between leading and observing, which let them reflect on both roles. Through this hands-on experience, students learned the steps to create and participate in a prayer service, deepening their understanding of faith and community.

Middle School Celebrates their very own Galentine’s Day!
Students spent the day laughing, playing games, and enjoying each other’s company. They also shared sweet messages on boards about what they love most about SDA, themselves, and one another. What a beautiful way to build unity, confidence, and lasting friendships!

COMMUNITY NEWS

Students Drop off Donations from Souper-Bowl at Mercy House

Thank you to everyone who helped deliver our food collection to Mercy House! From loading and transporting donations to sorting items on site, every contribution made a difference. We were grateful to meet residents and hear from Director Cheryl Riley, whose story reminded us of the importance of caring for our neighbors in the community.

Student Spotlight: Ashley Carey ’31
We want to give a special shoutout to a standout student who went above and beyond during our Mercy House food drive.Ashley played a key role by counting, sorting, documenting, displaying donations, and bringing our community’s generosity to life with a total amount of 3,255 items donated by the final day of the drive last Friday, February 6.
Her commitment is a wonderful example of how our Four Pillars: Faith, Service, Leadership, and Community come to life at Saint Dominic Academy.
Congratulations, Ashley!
