IN THE CLASSROOM

MEDQUEST: STOP THE BLEEDING

On Tuesday, February 17, all MEDQUEST students participated in a Stop the Bleed certification program focused on responding to traumatic bleeding emergencies. The session was led by Ms. Doresha Jackson, Safe Kids Coalition Coordinator and Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator, who guided students through an informative presentation followed by hands-on training.
Students practiced applying tourniquets and learned proper wound-packing techniques using medical simulations. This immersive experience provided valuable real-world exposure and helped students understand how to respond quickly and effectively to prevent severe blood loss in emergency situations.
