Above and beyond!
When the record-breaking snow hit, our maintenance staff, Kevin and Clarence, were already on the front lines. Managing nearly four feet of accumulation across two major storms required extraordinary coordination and physical stamina. While most of us were hunkered down inside, this team was out in the cold, meticulously shoveling and salting every inch of our campus to keep our community safe and mobile.
Their diligence during these storms has been nothing short of heroic. It is easy to take a clear sidewalk for granted, but we know the hours of back-breaking labor it took to make that happen. We are deeply grateful for their hard work and for the pride they take in maintaining Saint Dominic Academy, no matter what the weather throws at them.

Mardi Gras Celebration
The French Club and the AAA Club recently hosted a Mardi Gras celebration for all that highlighted the richness and diversity of French culture.
The event featured traditional French music, festive décor, interactive activities, themed bingo, and a photo booth, creating an engaging and educational atmosphere for all participants.
This celebration not only provided an opportunity to experience a meaningful cultural tradition but also reflected the enthusiasm, leadership, and school spirit demonstrated by the members of both clubs.
It was a memorable success and a wonderful example of cultural appreciation within our school community.

IN THE CLASSROOM

Bringing the Parables to Life

Sophomore Religion students took a deep dive into the parables—the cornerstone of Jesus’ public ministry. To bridge the gap between ancient scripture and modern life, students moved beyond the textbook to become both scholars and performers. After analyzing historical commentaries, they worked in small groups to script and perform original skits.
Complete with props and modern-day parallels, these performances demonstrated a sophisticated grasp of biblical storytelling. To conclude the unit, each student authored their own theological commentary, articulating how these timeless lessons still resonate in our world today.
