The Visual Arts program at Saint Dominic Academy encourages students to unleash their creativity, while teaching them traditional painting, drawing and sculpture techniques.
The classes cover many areas of the art process, such as painting, printmaking, sculpture, drawing and Art history. Students at Saint Dominic Academy work on a variety of projects including still lifes, figure painting, and architectural models. Field trips to museums are also in the program, as well as an Art show every year to exhibit the work done in the Art classes.
The program is designed to give students a solid foundation in the visual arts, while at the same time, giving them the confidence to create artwork that fully expresses who they are and what they choose to express.
