Saint Dominic Academy, a Catholic, all-girls, college-preparatory school, is seeking a mission-driven and detail-oriented Advancement and Annual Fund Event Manager to plan, organize, and execute events that engage and strengthen relationships with parents, alumnae, donors, and the broader school community. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, warmth, and professionalism to every event, while embodying the school’s Catholic values and traditions.
Description of Duties:
- Plan and manage all school advancement and annual fund events, including but not limited to annual gala, alumnae reunions, parent socials, donor recognition events, open houses, and milestone celebrations
- Collaborate closely with the Advancement, Enrollment, and Communications teams to ensure event messaging aligns with the school’s mission and strategic goals
- Serve as the main point of contact for event planning committees, alumnae leaders, and parent volunteers
- Coordinate logistics such as venue setup, catering, audio/visual needs, printed materials, guest registration, seating, and volunteer coordination
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with graduates and parents, fostering a strong sense of community and engagement
- Develop event budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective decision-making while maintaining event quality
- Prepare post-event reports including attendance, feedback, and success metrics
- Maintain event data in the school’s CRM system (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud) and oversee RSVP tracking
- Uphold Catholic values and represent the school with integrity, hospitality, and professionalism at all events.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, Event Management, Nonprofit Administration, or a closely related field
- 3+ years of experience in event planning, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, especially with parents and alumnae
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with donor databases (e.g., Blackbaud, Raiser’s Edge) and event platforms
- A collaborative spirit and ability to work within a faith-based community
