Overview:
The Director of Finance manages all financial functions of the school, including budgeting, financial planning, analysis, and reporting. This key role ensures the financial stability and long-term health of the School by guiding decisions on investments, expenditures, and financial strategy. The Director of Finance reports to and works with the Head of School to align financial strategies with the school’s goals, driving financial planning and decisions to achieve the school’s strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
- A good understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, payroll, human resource and benefit administration, and facilities management.
- Creative self-starter with a practical, solution-oriented mindset and a proven ability to take initiative and drive results
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and strategic administrator with strong interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA and/or CPA preferred
- At least 5 years of financial management experience
- Ability to interface effectively with all school community constituents
- A high level of integrity and an extraordinary work ethic
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft and Google Suite
