SDA students Carolina, Gabby, Mia, Rachel, Emma and Gianna along with Mrs. Woodall attended the Regional High School Preaching Conference in Amityville, NY. Joined by other Caldwell Dominican sponsored schools Mount Saint Dominic Academy, Lacordaire Academy, and Albertus Magnus High, students spent their weekend discovering and deepen the preacher within themselves through prayer, study, community and interaction with members of the Dominican Family. Sponsored by the Dominican Young Movement USA, conference attendees toured the Amityville convent and chapel, an exact replica of the original Dominican Sisters Chapel in Regensburg, Germany as well as helping out on Homecoming Farm an organic farm run by the Amityville Dominican Sisters. Students engaged in prayer, arts, dance and song and look forward to bringing back ideas and skills to better serve the spiritual needs of our SDA community.
